The Cats at The French House
There are three resident cats at The French House
Hatty, the oldest of the cats is not very old at all and is a
tortoiseshell colouring. Hatty, spends most of her
days hunting outside and for this reason she is rarely to be seen.
However she is more likely to be seen than Napoleon.

Napoleon, Hatty's son (pictured above with Hatty), is commonly
known as Nappy not only as an abbreviation of his name but also as
he happens to have a bright white nappy shaped area of fur on his
lower abdomen. Apart from this he is jet black other than his
bright white socks. Napoleon chooses to live outside in the summer
but finds it a little cold during the winter, so is usually found curled
up on a chair on the cold winter mornings. Like his mother,
he spends most of his days
hunting rabbits and can often be seen showing off his catch on a lawn
making sure that everyone is watching! Apart from these occasions Napoleon
is also rarely seen.
Lastly there is Lucy (pictured below), who is never usually reffered
to by her real name, instead, rather bizarrely she is known as 'Bag puss'
or just 'Baggers'. The reason for this is not after the BBC's
early nineties kids TV program, but rather because Lucy made her bed
in the draw which happened to contain our spare plastic bags! Lucy
is usually complimented by being called the prettiest of the cats,
being almost siamese looking. She has bright blue eyes and a beigey colour.
Lucy is the smallest of the cats but had a litter of two kittens last year (Top picture)
both of whom have found good homes.

The cats usually get on with the dogs
but not always with each other. Hatty tends to be the most antisocial
of all the cats due to her distinct dislike of anything feline other
than herself! She gets on best with two residents of The French House
one being Rumpole and the other is
Al.
