The Dogs at The French House

Andrew, Rumpole and Tilly are the three resident dogs at The French House. They enjoy long walks anywhere, but especially on the beach, down to the Royal Military Canal, or in nearby Lyminge Forest.

Andrew is the Black Labrador and has an extremely high pedigree, however he is now almost thirteen and is feeling his age, with very bad arthritis in his back legs but still enjoys his daily walk. These days Andrew usually spends most of his time following Mary-Ann around the Garden or curled up asleep.

Rumpole is the second oldest dog and is a Border Terrier with little if any pedigree! Despite being only six, he is often confused to be a lot older due to his rotund appearance and a little bit of acting on his part. He was brought up by Andrew and is very lazy, preferring to spend an afternoon in bed asleep with Peter than anything remotely physically demanding. Although none of the dogs really belong to any member of the family particularly, Rumpole is very much Vicky's dog and when she is home he rarely uses his legs but is carried everywhere, partly accounting for his rotund figure.
