Peter and Mary-Ann Gaston
Peter and Mary-Ann Gaston have been married for over 25 years and have lived at The French House for 20 of them. Before that, they lived not far from Canterbury managing the restaurant they owned; Radiguns. This gave them both even more experience in the kitchen (Mary-Ann having gained a diploma at Maxims de Paris). Thus the breakfasts at The French House are somewhat renowned. Before that, Mary-Ann had worked on the stock market in London, Montreal and Germany. Peter had worked in a number of areas including accounting but prefers his current hobby of buying and selling antiques, not forgetting his favourite activity of snoozing in the afternoons whenever possible.

These days Peter and Mary-Ann spend most of the summer months working in the garden keeping up the magnificent lawns and beds that can be seen all year round.
Mary-Ann very much enjoys her tapestry work much of which is placed around The French House, most notably the extremely large tapestry rug in the drawing room. Other hobbies include country walks with the dogs and her interest in fine cuisine.
Peter shares Mary-Ann's love of cuisine too and joins her in enjoying taking Andrew, Tilly, and Rumpole, the three dogs, for long walks on the beach. Peter's main interest is his extensive knowledge and love of historic motor cars which meant that he was often to be found at Silverstone racing circuit Because his son, Al attended school at Stowe in Buckinghamshire, only a couple of miles from Silverstone, a good excuse could easily be found to visit the circuit!
Peter and Mary-Ann have now been doing Bed and Breakfasts at The French House for ten years, gaining new experiences from year to year. Above anything else, they enjoy welcoming visitors into their home, and enjoy getting to know their guests.
